RESOLUTION NO. 2022-130
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE FY 2022-23 OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE OUTDOOR AND ACTIVE YOUTH PROGRAM GRANT FUND BY INCREASING REVENUE ESTIMATES AND APPROPRIATIONS BY $181,066; AND ACCEPTING FUNDS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $375,000 FROM POMONA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT (PUSD) IN GRANT FUNDING WHEREAS, the City desires to provide a wide variety of specialty programs at city parks adjacent or in close proximity to District schools designed to address the academic, recreational and social/emotional losses PUSD students have experienced due to the COVID-19 pandemic; and WHEREAS, the City also desires to expand its After School Sports Leagues for students at PUSD’s designated The Learning Connection (TLC) school sites; and WHEREAS, PUSD desires to contract with the City and has made $375,000 in grant funding available for FY 2022-23 to provide such services; and WHEREAS, the City will seek to use this allocation to continue to fund a full-time staff member, part-time staff members, partnerships with local organizations, program supplies and admission fees associated with trips and/or activities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council accepts the Pomona Unified School District’s grant allocation of $375,000.
SECTION 2. The FY 2022-23 Operating Budget shall be amended by increasing revenue estimates (215-4190-40916-58765) in the amount of $181,066 and increasing appropriations in the same amount. Revising the overall (215) grant budget for “Outdoor and Active Youth Program” services to $375,000; while also updating appropriations to match as itemized in the table below.

SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
