RESOLUTION NO. 2022-135
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING ACCEPTANCE OF $214,282 FROM THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF RESOURCES, RECOVERY, AND RECYCLING (CALRECYCLE) SB 1383 LOCAL ASSISTANCE GRANT PROGRAM AND AMENDMENT OF THE FY 2022-23 OPERATING BUDGET BY INCREASING REVENUE ESTIMATES AND APPROPRIATING $214,282.
WHEREAS, the City of Pomona was awarded $214,282 from the State of California Department of Resources, Recovery, and Recycling (CalRecycle) SB 1383 Local Assistance Grant Program; and WHEREAS, this grant will provide funding for a Management Analyst and a part-time Maintenance Worker I/II dedicated to SB 1383 compliance as well as additional funding for supplies and materials related to outreach efforts; and WHEREAS, the authority to accept this grant and amend the FY 2022-23 operating budget is vested with the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council accepts the $214,282 from CalRecycle’s SB 1383 Local Assistance Grant Program.
SECTION 2. The City Council amends the FY 2022-23 Operating Budget by increasing revenue estimates and appropriations in fund 587-2553-XXXXX-00000 by $214,282.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
