RESOLUTION NO. 2022-229
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING APPENDIX A OF THE COMPENSATION PLAN FOR EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT GROUP A AND B EMPLOYEES BY ADDING THE BUILDING OFFICIAL CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE AUTHORIZED STAFFING LEVELS IN THE DEVELOPMENT SERVICES DEPARTMENT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2022-23 OPERATING BUDGET BY THE ACTIONS LISTED HEREIN WHEREAS, the City Council has the authority to create, classify and assign salary scales/ranges to the Compensation Plan for Executive Management Group A and B Employees (A-B Plan) of the City of Pomona; WHEREAS, on July 18, 2022 the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2022-123 amending the A-B Plan; WHEREAS, on June 6, 2022, the City Council adopted the Fiscal Year 2022-23 City of Pomona Operating Budget, which includes the salary ranges for authorized staff; and WHEREAS, in order to meet department staffing needs, the City Council desires to amend Appendix B of the aforementioned MOU and further amend the citywide authorized staffing allocations by the actions provided herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby authorizes amending Appendix A of the A-B Plan by adding the Building Official classification.

SECTION 2. That the City Council hereby approves amending citywide authorized staffing levels within the Fiscal Year 2022-23 Operating Budget by adding the following positions to the Development Services Department:
One (1) Building Official
One (1) Deputy Building Official
One (1) Plans Examiner
One (1) Building & Safety Coordinator
Three (3) Building Permit Technician I/II
One (1) Senior Building Inspector
Two (2) Building Inspector I/II
One (1) Administrative Assistant I/II/III
SECTION 3. That any portion of previously adopted resolutions concerning salaries or positions inconsistent with this Resolution shall be deemed repealed.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and it shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
