RESOLUTION NO. 2022-230
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING APPENDIX B OF THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE POMONA CITY EMPLOYEES’ CHAPTER OF THE TEAMSTERS LOCAL 1932 BY ADDING VARIOUS BUILDING AND SAFETY CLASSIFICATIONS WHEREAS, the City Council has the authority to create, classify and assign salary scales/ranges for all City of Pomona classifications; WHEREAS, on October 18, 2021, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2021-140 adopting the 2021-2023 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City of Pomona and the Pomona City Employees’ Chapter of the Teamsters Local 1932 (PCEA/Teamsters), which also established a Roster of PCEA General Service Classifications; WHEREAS, the City Council has subsequently amended certain provisions of the MOU by resolution numbers 2021-171, 2021-188, 2022-068, 2022-083, 2022-099, and 2022-121; and WHEREAS, in order to meet department staffing needs, the City Council desires to amend Appendix B of the aforementioned MOU by adding four classifications, Plans Examiner, Building Permit Technician I/II (flexible staffing series), Senior Building Inspector, and Building Inspector I/II (flexible staffing series).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona, California, as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby amends Appendix B of the PCEA/Teamsters MOU by adding the following classifications:

SECTION 2. That any portion of previously adopted resolutions concerning salaries inconsistent with this Resolution shall be deemed repealed.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and it shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
