A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE FY 2022-23 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CIP) BUDGET BY AMENDING THE DESCRIPTION OF CIP PROJECT, “POMONA LIBRARY FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS,” PROJECT NO. 428-2590-XXXXX-74120, AND INCREASING REVENUE ESTIMATES AND APPROPRIATING $6,014,328 OF CALIFORNIA BUDGET ACT OF 2021 (SB 129) GRANT FUNDING ADMINISTERED BY THE CALIFORNIA STATE LIBRARY TO THE PROJECT WHEREAS, the City of Pomona (City) applied for and received $6,014,328 of California Budget Act of 2021 (SB 129) grant funding to provide significant improvements to the Pomona Public Library, and WHEREAS City Council desires to amend the FY 2022-23 CIP Budget by amending the description of “Pomona Library Facility Improvements,” Project No. 428-2590-XXXXX-74120 to include the improvements described in the scope of work of the California Budget Act of 2021 (SB 129) grant application, and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend the FY 2022-23 CIP Budget by increasing revenue estimates and appropriating $6,014,438 of California Budget Act of 2021 (SB 129) grant funding to “Pomona Library Facility Improvements,” Project No. 428-2590-XXXXX-74120.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council amends the FY 2022-23 CIP Budget by amending the description of “Pomona Library Facility Improvements,” Project No. 428-2590-XXXXX-74120 to include the following language, “In FY 2022-23, the City received funding from the California Budget Act of 2021 (SB 129) to fund the following improvements: roof replacement, HVAC replacement, carpet replacement, interior LED troffer retrofit kits, and LED exterior lighting.” SECTION 2. The City Council amends the FY 2022-23 CIP Budget by increasing revenue estimates and appropriating $6,014,328 of California Budget Act of 2021 (SB 129) Grant Funding (428-2590-40873-74120, 428-2590-66196-74120) to Project No. 428-2590-XXXXX-74120.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
