RESOLUTION NO. 2023-03
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE POLICE DEPARTMENT’S EXPENDITURE PLAN FOR THE FY 2022-23 SUPPLEMENTAL LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES ACCOUNT (SLESA), AND AMENDING THE FY 2022-23 OPERATING BUDGETS BY INCREASING REVENUE ESTIMATES AND APPROPRIATIONS BY $400,000 WHEREAS, State of California Government Code Section 30061–30063, counties and cities annually receive allocated funds to be deposited into a Supplemental Law Enforcement Services Account (SLESA) to provide assistance to local law enforcement agencies to enhance front-line crime fighting capabilities; and WHEREAS, the City of Pomona is required to adopt an expenditure plan for SLESA funds received from the State of California; WHEREAS, the authority to amend the current operating budget to appropriate FY 2022-23 SLESA funds received is vested with the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby approves the Police Departments Expenditure Plan for FY 2022-23 Supplemental Law Enforcement Services (SLESA) SECTION 2. The City Council hereby amends the FY 2022-23 Police Department SLESA budget by increasing revenue estimates by $400,000 (281-2090-40873-58769) and appropriating $400,000 (281-2090-5XXXX-58769).
SECTION 3. The City Manager, or designee, is hereby authorized to enter into any agreement on behalf of the City.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
