This funding helps us every year function as a league, we have over 100 volunteers every year help us keep over 400 kids off the streets to play baseball and softball, we also have 12 softball teams for girls. in our area in Pomona, we have a lot of family's that are low income, they cant afford to pay registration fees, so this also helps us with this fund if we recieve.it also helps us with hosting events such as Tournaments in November, we have a can food drive that players bring food. * What is the benefit to the City of Pomona? (An expenditure of public funds must be for primary benefit of the public agency that is making the expenditure)
The benefit to the city is keeping kids off the streets and exercising them, having them to compete against each other.. in our area in Pomona we have alot of Risk Kids the school calls them ,that get in trouble in school, so we have parents who are teachers and councilors at their jobs and talk to these kids at their practices and try to help them with their problems, every year we have a can food drive and give the House of Ruth can food to fill their Pantry also have a toy drive and car show I, Mayor/Councilmember _______________________________, District No. _______, hereby request that the above donation/payment be made and that a finding of public benefit be determined by the City Council.
