RESOLUTION NO. 2023-28
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE FY 2022-23 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CIP) BUDGET BY CREATING A NEW PROJECT, “MEMORIAL PARK BUILDING RENOVATION AND RETROFITTING” PROJECT NO. 428-2590-XXXXX-71084 AND AMENDING THE FY 2022-23 OPERATING BUDGET BY UNAPPROPRIATING $300,000 OF GENERAL FUND AFTERSCHOOL RECREATION FUNDS AND APPROPRIATING THIS $300,000 OF GENERAL FUND AFTERSCHOOL RECREATION FUNDS TO THE NEW PROJECT WHEREAS, the City Council desires to renovate, for the benefit of its residents, the existing building at Memorial Park, to create office space and storage for Recreation Staff to administer youth recreational programming; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend the FY 2022-23 CIP Budget and Operating Budget by creating a new CIP project, “Memorial Park Building Renovation and Retrofitting,” Project No. 428-2590-XXXXX-71084 and appropriating $300,000 of Afterschool Recreation Funds to the Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council amends the FY 2022-23 CIP Budget by creating a new CIP project, “Memorial Park Building Renovation and Retrofitting,” Project No. 428-2590-XXXXX-71084.
SECTION 2. The City Council amends the FY 2022-23 Operating Budget by unappropriating $300,000 from 101-4112-52285-00000 and amends the FY 2022-23 CIP Budget by appropriating $300,000 of available General Fund Afterschool Recreation Funds (101-2590-89987-71084, 428-2590-80701-71084, 428-2590-66196-71084)) to “Memorial Park Building Renovations and Retrofitting,” Project No. 428-2590-XXXXX-71084.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
