RESOLUTION NO. 2023-51
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING FISCAL YEAR (FY) 2022 OFFICER WELLNESS AND MENTAL HEALTH GRANT FROM THE BOARD OF STATE AND COMMUNITY CORRECTIONS (BSCC) IN THE AMOUNT OF $105,313 AND AMENDING FY 2022-23 OPERATING BUDGET TO INCREASE REVENUE ESTIMATES AND APPROPRIATIONS BY $105,313 WHEREAS, the Police Department has been awarded an Officer Wellness and Mental Health Grant from the Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) for a total award of $105,313; WHEREAS, the Officer Wellness and Mental Health Grant has been awarded to fund the Pomona Police Department’s efforts to expand and improve existing officer wellness opportunities.
WHEREAS, the authority to accept the Officer Wellness and Mental Health Grant and amend the current revenue and operating budgets to appropriate the BSCC grant funds to be received is vested with City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby accepts the Officer Wellness and Mental Health Grant from the Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) and agrees to the terms and conditions of the Grant Agreement.
SECTION 2. That the City Council hereby amends the FY 2022-23 Police Department Grants Fund budget revenue estimate by $105,313 (215-2090-40873-58776), with a corresponding $105,313 appropriation (215-2090-5XXXX-58776).
SECTION 3. That the City Manager, or designee, is hereby authorized to execute any and all agreements on behalf of the City, in substantially the form submitted, subject to review and approval by the City Attorney.
SECTION 4. That City Clerk shall attest to and certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and it shall be effective immediately upon its approval.
