RESOLUTION NO. 2023-66 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE FY 2022-23 OPERATING BUDGET BY INCREASING REVENUE ESTIMATES AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN (ARP) FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $350,000 WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend the FY 2022-23 Operating Budget for the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Fund; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to appropriate $350,000 of the Economic Support Related to the Pandemic ARP category towards the Pomona Jobs Program; and WHEREAS, based on the foregoing, the City Council desires to allocate ARP Funds toward the Pomona Jobs Program; and WHEREAS, the purpose of the Pomona Jobs Program falls within the eligible use of ARP within the Impacted Household and Communities category; and WHEREAS, these funds will provide jobs to impacted households.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby amends the FY 2022-23 Operating Budget for the American Rescue Plan (Fund 191) by increasing revenue estimates (191-xxxx-40875-00000) and appropriations (191-xxxx-52285-10040) by $350,000.
SECTION 3. The City Council appropriates $350,000 of the Economic Support Related to the Pandemic ARP category towards the Pomona Jobs Program.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall attest and certify the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
