RESOLUTION NO. 2023-58
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE fy 2022-23 capital improvement program (CIP) BUDGET BY UNAPPROPRIATING and exchanging $4,200,000 OF PROPOSITION A LOCAL RETURN FUNDS FROM VARIOUS PROJECTS AND FUND BALANCE for $3,150,000 of foothill transit’s general purpose funds AND INCREASING REVENUE AND APPROPRIATING $3,150,000 OF GENERAL PURPOSE FUNDS RECEIVED FROM FOOTHILL TRANSIT TO THESE cip PROJECTS WHEREAS, the projects listed in the attached “Exhibit A” are included in the FY 2022-23 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) budget; and WHEREAS, on February 27, 2023, the City Council approved a fund exchange agreement between the City of Pomona and Foothill Transit; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to unappropriate $3,314,428 of Proposition A Local Return funds from four CIP projects as detailed in the attached “Exhibit A;” and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to transfer this $3,314,428 along with $885,572 of Proposition A Local Return fund balance for a total of $4,200,000 of Proposition A Local Return funds to Foothill Transit in exchange for $3,150,000 of Foothill Transit’s General Purpose Funds; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to appropriate the $3,150,000 of General Purpose Funds received to the four CIP projects, as presented in “Exhibit A.” NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council amends the FY 2022-23 CIP Budget by unappropriating $3,314,428 of Proposition A Local Return Funds from four (4) CIP projects as detailed in “Exhibit A” and combines these funds with $885,572 of Proposition A fund balance for a total of $4,200,000 of Proposition A Local Return Funds, and exchanges them for $3,150,000 of General Purpose Funds from Foothill Transit, increasing revenue estimates as detailed in “Exhibit A,” attached hereto.
SECTION 2. That the City Council amends the FY 2022-23 CIP Budget by appropriating the $3,150,000 of General Purpose Funds received from Foothill Transit to four CIP Projects as listed in “Exhibit A,” attached hereto.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
