Donations will be used to help cover the cost of using the city facilities at Ganesha Park, which includes city park fees, banner bridge fees, and any other permit fees. It will also help cover some of the costs for celebrity professional performers, in addition to local talent. It will help cover some marketing & social media, sound system, and transportation, for this free community event, open to the public. * What is the benefit to the City of Pomona? (An expenditure of public funds must be for primary benefit of the public agency that is making the expenditure)
This event will include COVID-19 testing and vaccinations, which help with an overall healthy community. It encourages civil and community engagement and hands-on communications. It brings the city's economic empowerment to entrepreneurs who have businesses in the community. It helps the city to become engaged and visible to the public as a caring city council. Families of all races and I.E. cities come together in peaceful unity to celebrate Juneteenth Holiday.

We will utilize funding to feed all volunteer for Pomona Beautification Day on May 6, 2023 in gratitude for the work in our community. * What is the benefit to the City of Pomona? (An expenditure of public funds must be for primary benefit of the public agency that is making the expenditure)
The benefit to the city of Pomona is the 15 different projects taking place throughout our city. From park and alley clean-ups, park restoration, painting, planting and all volunteer work needed, Pomona Beautification Day will provide on or around 400 volunteers to our community for all this work to be done.
