Submitted By: Anita Gutierrez, AICP, Development Services SUBJECT: SECOND READING AND ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE ADDING AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING STATIONS PERMITTING PROCESS TO THE POMONA CITY CODE RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the following ordinance:
ORDINANCE NO. 4330 - ADOPT AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA ADDING CHAPTER 75 TO THE POMONA CITY CODE RELATING TO AN EXPEDITED, STREAMLINED PERMITTING PROCESS FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING STATIONS DISCUSSION:
This ordinance was first introduced at the April 3, 2023, City Council Meeting (Attachment No. 1). The purpose of proposed Ordinance No. 4330 (Attachment No. 2) is to establish an expedited permit process for the installation of Electric Vehicle Charging Stations, in compliance with AB 1236 AB760.
The ordinance will take effect 30 days after its adoption on May 17, 2023.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact associated with this item.
