RESOLUTION NO. 2023-53
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE 2022 STATE HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $45,577 AND AMENDING THE FY 2022-23 OPERATING BUDGET BY INCREASING REVENUE ESTIMATES AND APPROPRIATIONS WHEREAS, the Police Department has been awarded $45,577 in 2022 State Homeland Security Grant Program (SHSGP) funds; and WHEREAS, a Sub-Recipient Agreement with Los Angeles County is needed to purchase Police handheld radio equipment for the Pomona Police Department; WHEREAS the authority to accept grant funding is vested with the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby enters into a Sub-Recipient Agreement with Los Angeles County for the acceptance of $45,577 and authorizing the City Manager, or designee, to execute the Sub-Recipient Agreement and any related documents on behalf of the City.
SECTION 2. That the City Council hereby amends the FY 2022-23 Domestic Preparedness Homeland Security fund by increasing revenue estimates of $45,577 (263-2090-40875-58778) and a corresponding grant fund appropriation in the amount of $45,577 (263-2090-66189-58778).
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
