RESOLUTION NO. 2023-05 – A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, SITTING AS THE GOVERNING BOARD FOR THE POMONA HOUSING AUTHORITY (PHA) AMENDING THE FY 2022-23 OPERATING BUDGET TO INCREASE REVENUE ESTIMATES BY $511,545 AND APPROPRIATIONS BY $735,457 FROM U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT (HUD) FUNDS WHEREAS, the Emergency Housing Vouchers (EHVs) will assist individuals and families who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, fleeing, or attempting to flee, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking or human trafficking, recently homeless and for whom providing rental assistance will prevent the family’s homelessness or having high risk of housing instability; and, WHEREAS, the Omnibus Appropriations Act, 2017 made approximately $13 million available for new Section 811 Housing Choice Vouchers (known as Mainstream Vouchers) to assist non-elderly persons with disabilities; and, WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to amend the FY 2022-23 Adopted Operating Budget for EHVs and Mainstream Vouchers Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council sitting as the Governing Board for the PHA as follows:

SECTION 2. The Authority Secretary shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
