SUBJECT: Request To Consider Removal of CommiTTEE MEMBER From the citizens oversight committee RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council take the following action:
Remove District 4 appointee, Committee Member Dean Rudenauer, from the Citizens Oversight Committee, based on numerous absences.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
On April 20, 2023, the Citizens Oversight Committee (COC) reviewed the attendance record of Committee Member Dean Rudenauer and per Section 1.I.A.2 of the Standard By-Laws (Attachment No. 1) for all Boards, Commissions, & Committees and based on the number of absences, the committee voted unanimously to recommend that City Council remove Committee Member Rudenauer from the COC as the appointee of District Four.
FISCAL IMPACT: There is no fiscal impact with this action.
DISCUSSION:
Committee Member Dean Rudenauer was appointed to the Citizens Oversight Committee in 2019. In reviewing COC Attendance Report, it was found that Mr. Rudenauer has missed the last three scheduled COC meetings; October 20, 2022, February 16, 2023, and March 9, 2023. He was also not in attendance for the April 20, 2023 meeting.
The members of the Citizens Oversight Committee respectfully request that the City Council consider their recommendation and vote to remove Dean Rudenauer from the Citizens Oversight Committee, based on his numerous absences and lack of participation in COC meetings.
