DISCUSSION:
The swamp coolers that are utilized to cool the Fleet Shop garages while City vehicles are being repaired are in disrepair and/or inoperable. As summer approaches, for the safety and well-being of Staff repairing vehicles, it is necessary to replace eight swamp coolers with new swamp coolers. The City of Pomona will be able to utilize a cooperative purchasing agreement with ACCO Engineering and can begin work immediately upon Council’s approval of the recommended action.
