Funds, if awarded, will be utilized to purchase backpacks; it is our hope to provide at least 100 backpacks to children. Ancillary supplies are usually donated by the public.
This event will take place on September 6th at Charisma Life Church, 305 E. Arrow Highway in Pomona during our regular food distribution. * What is the benefit to the City of Pomona? (An expenditure of public funds must be for primary benefit of the public agency that is making the expenditure)
Children of the families that use our food distribution will receive free back to school supplies.

Positive incentive for kids to be confident going to school and staying in school. Our goal is to keep kids in school and unhoused off the streets. This event will also have a team working with unhoused to place them in transitional living the day of the event. Our focus is to help clean up the City of Pomona and returning the use of the parks back to families of Pomona.
