THIS IS A NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND NOTICE OF A 5-DAY COMMENT PERIOD FOR AN AMENDMENT TO THE CONSOLIDATED PLAN AND FY 2023-2024 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN.
THE CITY OF POMONA IS AMENDING ITS CONSOLIDATED PLAN AND FY 2023-2024 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN TO APPROPRIATE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG), COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT CORONA VIRUS (CDBG-CV), EMERGENCY SOLUTIONS GRANT CORONA VIRUS (ESG-CV) AND PERMANENT LOCAL HOUSING ALLOCATION (PLHA) PROGRAM FUNDS All interested residents and citizens of the City of Pomona are invited to attend a public hearing on Monday, August 21, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers regarding proposed amendments to the Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan and proposed appropriation of funds. Council Chambers are located at 505 S. Garey Avenue, Pomona, CA 91766.
The public hearing will appropriate additional funds based on actual expenditures and unexpended balances from prior year’s projects and will re-allocate funds in the current year to other eligible activities.
The primary objective of the CDBG Program is the development of viable communities, decent housing and expanding economic opportunities for persons to low-to-moderate income.
The primary objectives of the CDBG-CV and ESG-CV funding are to prevent, prepare and address the corona virus by supporting activities that impact short-term and long-term social welfare and economic development recovery efforts.
The primary objective of the PLHA Program is to provide permanent and on-going source of funding for housing-related programs and projects that assist in meeting the community’s unmet housing needs.
All interested residents and citizens of the City of Pomona are invited to comment on the following proposed amendments:
