A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE FY 2023-24 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CIP) BUDGET BY ACCEPTING, INCREASING REVENUE ESTIMATES, AND APPROPRIATING $3,000,000 OF DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE FISCAL YEAR 2022 COMMUNITY PROJECT FUNDING (CPF) GRANT FUNDS TO “STREET IMPROVEMENTS AND WALKING TRAIL/STEPS REHABILITATION,” PROJECT NO. 428-2590-XXXXX-71078 WHEREAS, the City Council is prescribed the authority by Charter of the City of Pomona (City) to adopt and amend the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) budgets; and WHEREAS, the City received a $3,000,000 grant from the Department of Housing and Urban Development 2022 Community Project Funding (CPF) Grant Fund to provide for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the trails and stairways in the Ganesha Park hillside area and the rehabilitation of several streets in Ganesha Hills.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby amends the FY 2023-24 CIP Budget by accepting, increasing revenue estimates, and appropriating $3,000,000 of Department of Housing and Urban Development Fiscal Year 2022 Community Project Funding (CPF) Grant funds to “Street Improvements and Walking Trail/Steps Rehabilitation” (428-2590-40850-71078 and 428-2590-66196-71078).
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
