RESOLUTION NO. 2023-151 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE FY 2023-24 OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE OUTDOOR & ACTIVE YOUTH PROGRAM GRANT FUND BY INCREASING REVENUE ESTIMATES AND APPROPRIATIONS BY $149,931 AND ACCEPTING FUNDS OF $524,931 FROM POMONA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT IN GRANT FUNDING WHEREAS, the City desires to provide a wide variety of specialty programs at City parks adjacent or in close proximity to Pomona Unified School District schools designed to address the academic, recreational, and social/emotional needs of youth ages 4-17; and WHEREAS, the City also desires to expand its youth sports programming for students at Pomona Unified School District designated The Learning Connection school sites; and WHEREAS, Pomona Unified School District desires to contract with the City and has made $524,931 in grant funding available to provide such services; and WHEREAS, the City will seek to use this allocation to fund staffing levels, program supplies, and admission fees associated with program trips and activities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council accepts Pomona Unified School District grant allocation of $524,931.
SECTION 2. The FY 2023-24 Operating Budget shall be amended by increasing revenue estimates (215-4190-40916-58765) in the amount of $149,931 and increasing appropriations (215-4190-51012-58765).
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
