SUBJECT: SECOND READING AND ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 58, ARTICLE III OF THE POMONA CITY CODE RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the following ordinance:
ORDINANCE NO. 4335 - An ordinance OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, california, amending chapter 58 (“traffic and vehicles”), article iii (“vehicle operation”), section 58-122 (“speed limits for specific streets”) of the pomona city code by updating the speed limits on designated city streets for years 2023 and 2024 DISCUSSION:
This ordinance was first introduced at the September 11, 2023 City Council Meeting (Attachment No. 1). The purpose of proposed Ordinance No. 4335 (Attachment No. 2) is to amend Chapter 58, Article III, Section 58-122 as it relates to updating the speed limits on designated city streets for years 2023 and 2024.
The ordinance will take effect 30 days after its adoption on October 18, 2023.
FISCAL IMPACT:
It is anticipated that there will be an impact of $5,000 for sign replacements which will be funded within the existing Paint and Sign Operational Budget (208-2562).
