RESOLUTION NO. 2023-169
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, ADJUSTING SALARIES PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE 2021-2023 POLICE MANAGERS’ ASSOCIATION MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WHEREAS, the City Council has the authority to create, classify and assign salary scales/ranges for all City of Pomona classifications; WHEREAS, on October 18, 2021, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2021-142 adopting the 2021-2023 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City of Pomona and the Pomona Police Managers’ Association (PPMA) WHEREAS, the City Council has subsequently amended the PPOA Memorandum of Understanding by resolution 2023-110; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend the PPMA Memorandum of Understanding by adjusting the salaries by two and one-half percent in accordance with the PPMA MOU.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona, California as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby authorize a two and one-half percent (2.5%) salary increase in accordance with the Pomona Police Managers’ Association MOU for 2021-2023 for the Police Lieutenant and Police Captain classifications.
SECTION 2. That any portion of previously adopted resolutions adjusting salaries inconsistent with this Resolution shall be deemed repealed.
SECTION 3. The action approved herein shall become effective retroactive to October 1, 2023.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
