RESOLUTION NO. 2023-164
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE STANDARDS AND TRAINING FOR CORRECTIONS (STC) GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $13,986 AND AMENDING THE FY 2023-24 OPERATING BUDGET BY INCREASING REVENUE ESTIMATES AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE SAME AMOUNT WHEREAS, the Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) requires that the City of Pomona formally accepts the terms and conditions of the Standards and Training for Corrections (STC) Grant awarded to the City in the amount of $13,986 WHEREAS, the Police Department’s expenditure plan for the Standards and Training for Corrections (STC) Grant will be used to support State required training and certifications for eligible Police staff; and, WHEREAS, authority to accept the Standards and Training for Corrections Standards and Training for Corrections (STC) Grant and amend the FY 2023-24 operating budget by increasing revenue estimates and appropriations, grant funds to be received is vested with the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby accepts the Standards and Training for Corrections (STC) Grant awarded to the City in the amount of $13,986 SECTION 2. The City Council hereby amends the FY 2023-24 operating budget by increasing revenue estimates (215-2090-40873-58785) and corresponding appropriations (215-2090-XXXXX-58785) of $13,986.
SECTION 3. That the City Manager, or designee, is hereby authorized to execute any and all agreements on behalf of the City, in substantially the form submitted, subject to review and approval by the City Attorney.
SECTION 4. That City Clerk shall attest to and certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and it shall be effective immediately upon its approval.
