A RESOLUTION COIF' 'THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA,
CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING THE ORDER OF APPOINTMENT OF
VICE- MAYOR AND SELECTING AND DESIGNATING DISTRICT I
COUNCILMEMBER, JOHN NOLTE, AS VICE- MAYOR
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 3662 was adopted oti August 3, 1992, establishing a process for selectinganddesignatinga memberof theCity Councilto serveasVice-Mayor; WHEREAS, an eight month period has lapsed requiring the appointment of new Vice- MayorbytheCityCouncil, pursuantto Article11, Section2-41 (a) of thePomonaCityCode; WHEREAS, accordingto the orderof appointmentsetforth in Resolution2022-87, the next designated Vice- Mayor would be the Councilmember from District 1; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by theCity Councilof the City of Pomona, California, as follows:
SECTION I. That pursuant to Pomona City Code, Section 2- 41( b), the order of appointment for the selectionand appointment of Vice- Mayor, as setforth in Resolution 2018-97, is as follows:
1. Councilmember from District 1
2. Councilmember from District 2
3. Councilmember from District 3
4. Councilmember from District 5
5. Councilmember from District 6
6. Councilmember from District 4
SECTION 2. That pursuant to Pomona City Code, Section 2- 41( b), the order of appointment for the selection and appointment of Vice- Mayor, shall be as follows until suchtime the Council reorders the rotation for Vice- Mayor:
1. Councilmember from District 1
2. Councilmember from District 2
3. Councilmember from District 3
4- Councilmember from District 5
5, Councilmember from District 6
6. Councilmember from District 4
SECTION 3. That the City Council hereby selects and designatesJohn Nolte, Councilmember from District 1, to serve as Vice- Mayor for an eight ( 8) month period, commencing on the date of adoption of this resolution.

SECTION 4. That in accordance with Pomona City Code Section 2- 41( b), the order for the next selection and appointment of Vice- Mayor shall be as follows:
1. Councilmember from District 2
2. Councilmember from District 3
3. Councilmember from District 5
4. Councilmember from District 6
S. Councilmember from District 4
6. Councilmember from District I
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shallcertify to thepassageandadoptionof this resolution and it shall thereafter be in full force and effect.
