RESOLUTION NO. 2023-184
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING APPENDIX A OF THE COMPENSATION PLAN FOR EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT GROUP A & B EMPLOYEES TO ADD THE ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR CLASSIFICATIONS AND DELETING THE DEPUTY CITY MANAGER CLASSIFICATION WHEREAS, the City Council has the authority to create, classify and assign salary scales/ranges to the Compensation Plan for Executive Management Group A and B Employees (A-B Plan) of the City of Pomona; WHEREAS, the City Council has the authority to amend the staffing allocations; WHEREAS, the City Council has subsequently amended certain provisions of the A-B Plan by resolution numbers 2022-98, 2022-123, 2022-229, 2023-45, 2023-60, 2023-101, and 2023-170; and WHEREAS, in order to meet department staffing needs, the City Council desires to amend Appendix A of the aforementioned Plan by the actions provided herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby authorize changes to be made to Appendix A of the A-B Plan by adding the Assistant City Manager and Economic Development Director classifications; and deleting the Deputy City Manager classification as shown below:

SECTION 2. That any portion of previously adopted resolutions concerning salaries inconsistent with this Resolution shall be deemed repealed.
SECTION 3. The action approved herein shall become effective October 22, 2023.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and it shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
