RESOLUTION NO. 2023-186
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE CITY OF POMONA’S SALARY SCHEDULE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2023-24 TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE CALIFORNIA CODE OF REGULATIONS TITLE 2, SECTIONS 570.5 AND 571 TO REFLECT ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGES TO VARIOUS CITY DEPARTMENTS WHEREAS, the City Council has the authority to create, classify and design salary scales/ranges for all City of Pomona employee positions; WHEREAS, California Code of Regulations (CCR) Title 2, Section 570.5 and amendment to CCR Section 571 requires a consolidated Salary Schedule that is publicly available showing all City classifications and salary ranges; WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to maintain compliance with these regulations by amending the Citywide Salary Schedule for Fiscal Year 2023-24, which sets forth the salary scales/ranges for all City of Pomona employee classifications; WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend the Citywide Salary Schedule for Fiscal Year 2023-24, previously adopted by City Council Resolution No. 2023-100 on June 5, 2023 and amended by Resolution Number 2023-171, and WHEREAS, “Exhibit A” includes the Citywide Salary Schedule that reflects the new classifications as a result of organizational changes to the Administration, City Clerk, and Information Technology Departments by adding Assistant City Manager, Economic Development Director, Senior Business Systems Analyst, and Records Management Specialist and deleting the Deputy City Manager and Legal Administrative Assistant classifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby adopts the Salary Schedule for all City of Pomona employee classifications as set forth in the attached “Exhibit A” to reflect the addition of the Assistant City Manager, Economic Development Director, Senior Business Systems Analyst, and Records Management Specialist classifications and deletes certain classifications reflected in strikethrough.
SECTION 2. That any portion of previously adopted resolutions adjusting salaries inconsistent with this Resolution shall be deemed repealed.
SECTION 3. The action approved herein shall become effective October 22, 2023.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and it shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
