The grant period covers July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024; funds will be disbursed quarterly. The acceptance of the award is being brought retroactively due to the notice of approval sent on September 8, 2023. This late approval did not allow the Department to prepare for Council action before the beginning of the grant performance period.

The STC program is a division of the BSCC. The purpose of the STC program is to provide funding for ongoing training and professional development for police corrections personnel. This program develops standards for selection & training, course certification, and training support.
