RESOLUTION NO. 2023-194– A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2023-24 SEWER OPERATING BUDGET BY APPROPRIATING $424,000 FROM THE AVAILABLE SEWER FUND RESERVES WHEREAS, the City Charter provides the City Council the authority to approve the Operating budget and subsequent amendments to the budget; WHEREAS, on July 17, 2023, City Council approved the operating budget which included the Sewer Operating budget for FY 2023-24; WHEREAS, an amendment to the FY 2023-24 Sewer Operating budget in the amount of $424,000 from available Sewer Fund reserve is necessary to fund additional contract services to maintain the City’s sewer collections system; and, WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend the FY 2023-24 Sewer Operating budget by appropriating $424,000 from available Sewer Fund reserves, thereby increasing funding for contracting of sanitary cleaning, closed circuit television inspection services, and additional sewer collections system operational expenses.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council amends the FY 2023-24 Adopted Operating Budget by appropriating $424,000 from the Sewer Fund Reserves (581-2522-52580- sanitary cleaning and closed-circuit television inspection services.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
