RESOLUTION NO. 2023 - 210
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE FY 2023-24 OPERATING BUDGET BY INCREASING REVENUE ESTIMATES BY $172,064 AND APPROPRIATIONS BY $1,065,397, AND AUTHORIZING THE ADDITION OF THREE SWORN POSITIONS IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, a fiscal review is a prudent method to ensure that the City maintains a healthy financial structure.
WHEREAS, the City routinely adjusts fiscal year appropriations and revenue estimates throughout the fiscal year.
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted the FY 2022-23 Operating Budget, Housing Authority Budget, and the Five-Year Capital Improvement Program on June 5, 2023 and all appropriations for departments or major organizational units within the General Fund and all operating funds were approved; WHEREAS, the City Council adopted the operating and capital improvement program budgets of the City of Pomona for fiscal year 2023-24 on June 5, 2023 and all authorized staffing levels for departments or major organizational units within all operating funds and capital improvements programs were approved.
WHEREAS, the City Council approved amendments to the fiscal year 2023-24 General Fund Operating budget on July 17, 2023, August 21, 2023, October 2, 2023, and October 16, 2023.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona, California, as follows:
SECTION 1. That the Fiscal Year 2023-24 1st Quarter General Fund Fiscal Review has hereby been received and reviewed by the City Council.
SECTION 2. The City Council authorizes the addition of the following positions to the City’s authorized staffing levels: one Police Sergeant (Police) and two Police Officers (Police).
SECTION 3. That the City Council amends the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 City operating budget to reflect additional appropriations and revised revenue estimates for the purpose of accurately reflecting revenues/appropriations as follows:
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution, and it shall thereupon be in full force and effect.
