SUBJECT: APPOINTING STAFF REPRESENTATION ON THE Pomona Valley Protective Association BOARD and the Pomona-Walnut-Rowland Joint Pipeline Commission JPA RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council approve the following:
Approve the Water Resources Director as an additional alternate representative on both the Pomona Valley Protective Association Board and the Pomona-Walnut-Rowland Joint Pipeline Commission JPA.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
In order to facilitate meetings at both the Pomona Valley Protective Association (PVPA) Board and the Pomona-Walnut-Rowland Joint Pipeline Commission JPA (PWR) in the absence of City Council member representation, it is recommended the Water Resources Director be appointed as an additional alternate representative.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact associated with this item.
DISCUSSION:
The City participates on different boards and committees as part of its operations and protection of its water resources. Several times each year meetings are held to conduct the business of each organization. To allow business to be conducted in the absence of the City Council appointed representative, staff is recommending adding the Water Resources Director as an additional alternate to both the PVPA Board and PWR Commission.
