RESOLUTION NO. 2023-217
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA AMENDING FISCAL YEAR (FY) 2023-24 ASSET FORFEITURE FUND BY APPROPRIATING $376,731 FROM FUND RESERVES WHEREAS, the Police Department’s Vehicle Replacement Policy and Procedure on April 4, 2016, establishing criteria to justify the purchase of replacement vehicles citywide; and WHEREAS, the approval to purchase a Lenco BearCat Armored Vehicle by utilizing the Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) cooperative purchasing contract #AM10-23 and amending FY 2023-24 Asset Forfeiture funds by increasing revenues and appropriating $356,731 from the Asset Forfeiture fund balance; WHEREAS the authority to approve the purchase and increase revenue and appropriations in FY 2023-24 Asset Forfeiture funds is vested with the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby approves the purchase of a Lenco BearCat Armored vehicle in the amount of $376,731 utilizing the H-GAC cooperative purchasing contract #AM10-23.
SECTION 2. That the City Council hereby amends the FY 2023-24 Asset Forfeiture funds by increasing appropriations in the amount of $304,000 Department of Justice Funds (260-2090-66182-51207) and $72,731 Department of Treasury Funds (260-2090-66182-51209).
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
