A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, TO AMEND THE FY 2023-24 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CIP) BUDGET BY INCREASING REVENUE ESTIMATES FOR LOS ANGELES COUNTY REGIONAL PARK AND OPEN SPACE DISTRICT MEASURE A FUNDING BY $543,684 AND CREATING A NEW PROJECT, “PALOMARES PARK – LAWN BOWLING SHADE STRUCTURE REPLACEMENT,” PROJECT NO. 428-2590-XXXXX-71097; APPROPRIATING $43,000 OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY REGIONAL PARK AND OPEN SPACE DISTRICT MEASURE A FUNDING ANNUAL ALLOCATIONS TO THE NEW PROJECT, AND APPROPRIATING AN ADDITIONAL $500,684 OF MEASURE A ANNUAL ALLOCATIONS TO “MEASURE A PARK IMPROVEMENTS – CITYWIDE,” PROJECT NO. 428-2590-71080 WHEREAS, the City Council desires to replace three shade structures at Palomares Park lawn bowling area (Project); and WHEREAS, $43,000 of Los Angeles County Regional Park and Open Space District (RPOSD Measure A) funding is available as part of the City’s receipt of annual allocation funding from RPOSD Measure A to fund the Project; and WHEREAS, an additional $500,684 is available for appropriation, as part of the City’s receipt of annual allocation funding from RPOSD Measure A to be appropriated to “Measure A Park Improvements – Citywide,” Projecct No. 428-2590-XXXXX-71080.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council amends the FY 2023-24 CIP Budget by creating a new CIP project, “Palomares Park – Lawn Bowling Shade Structure Replacement,” Project No. 428-2590-XXXXX-71097.
SECTION 2. The City Council amends the FY 2023-24 CIP Budget by increasing revenue estimates and appropriating $43,000 of RPOSD Measure A funds (428-2590-40906-71097 and 428-2590-66196-71097) to “Palomares Park – Lawn Bowling Shade Structure Replacement,” Project No. 428-2590-XXXXX-71097.
SECTION 3. The City Council hereby amends the FY 2023-24 CIP Budget by increasing revenue estimates and appropriating $500,684 of RPOSD Measure A Annual Allocations to “Measure A Park Improvements – Citywide,” (428-2590-40906-71080 and 428-2590-66196-71080).
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
