RESOLUTION NO. 2023-229
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE SALARY SCHEDULE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2023-24 TO MEET THE CALIFORNIA CODE OF REGULATIONS TITLE 2, SECTIONS 570.5 AND 571 TO REFLECT SALARY RATES AS A RESULT OF 2023 LABOR NEGOTIATIONS WHEREAS, the City Council has the authority to create, classify and design salary scales/ranges for all City of Pomona employee positions; WHEREAS, California Code of Regulations (CCR) Title 2, Section 570.5 and amendment to CCR Section 571 requires a consolidated Salary Schedule that is publically available showing all City classifications and salary ranges; WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to meet the requirements of these regulations by adopting a Salary Schedule, which sets forth the salary scales/ranges for all City of Pomona employee classifications; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to further amend the Fiscal Year 2023-24 Citywide Salary Schedule, adopted by City Council Resolution Number 2023-100 and amended by Resolution Numbers 2023-171, 2023-186, and 2023-222; and WHEREAS, “Exhibit A” includes the Citywide Salary Schedule that reflects the salary rates for all classifications as a result of labor negotiations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby adopts the Salary Schedule for all City of Pomona employee classifications as set forth in the attached “Exhibit A” to reflect a four and one-half percent (4.5%) for sworn classifications and a seven percent (7%) for Pomona City Employees’ Chapter of the Teamsters Local 1932 and Pomona Part-Time General Unit Teamsters Local 1932 as a result of labor negotiations.
SECTION 2. The action approved herein shall become retroactive effective October 8, 2023.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and it shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
