RESOLUTION 2023-245
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A FOUR (4) YEAR MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF POMONA AND THE POMONA PART-TIME GENERAL UNIT TEAMSTERS LOCAL 1932 FROM OCTOBER 1, 2023 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 2027 WHEREAS, the current Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City of Pomona and the Pomona Part-time General Unit Teamsters Local 1932 (PTG Teamsters) expires on September 30, 2023; WHEREAS, City representatives negotiated a tentative agreement on a new MOU with the PTG Teamsters, which, if approved, will be for the term beginning October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2027; and WHEREAS, the City Council has the authority to approve and ratify a contract with the City’s employee associations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona, California as follows:
SECTION 1. That the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Pomona and PTG Teamsters for the period of October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2027, attached hereto as “Exhibit A”, shall be approved, ratified, and ordered implemented.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager of the City of Pomona is hereby authorized, empowered, and directed to execute this Agreement for and on behalf of the City of Pomona.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk is directed to attest the execution of the Memorandum of Understanding.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
