VANDA" Gravity Main Cleaning Condition Index 22022 VEt Cunsultng Eignecis ine All mights lesene *ViA wwwvaengineering.com | 510903.6600 Task 5: Data Trend Analysis and Visualization of Joined Data Sets • Consultant shall identify any gravity main segment IDs from cleaning records or CCTV data not found in GIS. Results will be provided in spreadsheet form. • Consultant shall identify gravity main segment IDs that are either not cleaned or CCTV inspected per the City's schedule (e.g., as stated in SSMP). Results will be provided in map and spreadsheet form.
• Consultant shall analyze all available condition data gathered during gravity main segment cleaning (clear/light/medium/heavy observations for FOG, roots, or debris) for consistency and value for analytics.
• Consultant shall create charts, graphs and maps for consistency and trend analysis of all gravity main condition data relative to gravity main cleaning needs. • It is typical that gravity main segments are cleaned before CCTV. Therefore, CCTV data usually has little or no condition data for FOG, roots, debris/rags/grit, etc. Any FOG, roots, or debris/rags/grit gravity main segment condition data from available CCTV shall be analyzed and used by Consultant.
• Consultant shall summarize and visualize all available gravity main condition data relative to FOG, roots, debris/rags/grit, or cumulative blockage (such as SmartCover high water alerts or SL-RAT data).
Task 6: Data Recommendations
• Consultant shall summarize all data anomalies found and deliver suggested data improvements.
(BB&K Aug 2018) Exhibit "A"-3

• Consultant shall recommend additional data strategies for long-term improvement of gravity main cleaning efficiency.
Task 7: Final Data Assessment Report and Review
• Consultant shall summarize all processes, remedies, observations, findings, and recommendations and present to City in PDF report. Recommendations will include a summary of City's current potential for analytics that can be used to improve the efficiency of gravity main cleaning schedules.
• Consultant shall present all observations, findings, and recommendations in a PowerPoint presentation in a one-hour meeting with City. • Consultant and City shall discuss and mutually agree on the potential of the existing data sets for beneficial analytics and application phase execution. • All available data will be summarized in data assessment summary infographic.
Task 8: Analytics Phase
• Using all data processed in the data Assessment phase, Consultant shall develop and run machine learning models predicting each gravity main segment's likelihood of needing cleaning. Multiple machine learning models shall be developed and compared for accuracy.
• Deliverable from the analytics phase will include spreadsheet and ESRI shp files showing relative ranking of all gravity sewer mains for their likelihood of needing cleaning (characterized as LOF—likelihood of failure), along with color-coded maps showing likelihood gradation from light to dark or with discreet colors in % increments as desired by City.
• Color-coded LOF maps can be used by City to prioritize gravity main segments for cleaning.
• ESRI ArcGIS compatible files will be delivered in read-only .shp file format.
For ESRI Fieldmap use, City will need to load these shp files into City's online Fieldmap account.
Task 9: Application Phase
• Based on the results of the analytics phase, Consultant shall deliver recommended adjustments to existing gravity main cleaning schedules. Recommended adjustments shall include consideration of City's goals for efficiency gain in the gravity main cleaning process, the operational logistics of the cleaning crews, as well as other considerations, such as a desire to avoid cleaning main lines in easements unless (BB&K Aug 2018) Exhibit "A" 4

absolutely necessary.
• Hot spot cleaning segment analysis. Using a combination of LOF predictions and historical cleaning results, Consultant will analyze each hot spot segment and potentially recommend hot spot segments that can be moved to a less frequent hot spot cleaning list or 18-month system-wide cleaning. All segments on system-wide cleaning schedules will be analyzed for emerging risk and potential inclusion on a hot spot cleaning list.
• System-wide cleaning segment analysis. Using a combination of LOF predictions and historical cleaning results, Consultant will analyze each gravity main segment on the system-wide cleaning list as candidates for more or less frequent cleaning. • SmartCover location analysis. If applicable, using a combination of LOF predictions and SmartCover alerts, Consultant will analyze existing and potentially propose alternate SmartCover locations.
• Root foaming location analysis. If applicable, using a combination of LOF predictions and historical cleaning results, Consultant will analyze all gravity main segments as root foaming candidates.
• Gravity main cleaning resource planning tool. A resource planning spreadsheet tool will be provided for analysis of total annual gravity main cleaning resource requirements based on hot spot and system-wide cleaning plans. • Future data science opportunities. A roadmap will be provided with potential future data science enabled opportunities for operational improvements.
Tasks 8-9 are optional, and City will assess their necessity based on the results and recommendations stemming from Tasks 1-7.
Task 10: Periodic Updating of DATA, Analytics and Application Phases • Periodic updating of data, analytics, and application phrases. Consultant shall perform updates on a regular basis (monthly or quarterly), as deemed necessary by City. tasks utant shall update all of the outputs, analysis, and recommendations derived from • Deliverable will include updated LOF predictions and outputs, presented in spreadsheet format, along with a read-only ESRI .shp file.
