RESOLUTION NO. 2024-15
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE SUBMITTAL OF APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS THROUGH THE SKATEPARK PROJECT FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR PARK – SKATE PARK EXPANSION/LIGHTS PROJECT WHEREAS, the City of Pomona intends to apply for the grant funding from The Skatepark Project for Martin Luther King, Jr. Park – Skate Park Expansion/Lights Project; WHEREAS, the City of Pomona proposes to enhance the Martin Luther King, Jr. Skate Park with skateboard amenities WHEREAS, the City of Pomona has the legal authority and is authorized to enter into a funding agreement with The Skatepark Project; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. That the Applicant or designee is hereby authorized and directed to prepare and file an application for funding with The Skatepark Project and take such other actions, as necessary or appropriate to obtain grant funding; and SECTION 2. The City of Pomona City Manager or designee is hereby authorized and directed to execute the funding agreement with The Skatepark Project and any amendments thereto; and SECTION 3. The City of Pomona City Manager or designee is hereby authorized and directed to submit any required documents, invoices, and reports required to obtain grant funding.
