RESOLUTION NO. 2024-25 – A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF $557,740 FROM THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS AND TRADE UNIT (IATU) AND AMENDING THE FY 2023-24 OPERATING BUDGET TO INCREASE REVENUE ESTIMATES AND APPROPRIATIONS BY $267,402 WITH THE REMAINING $290,338 TO BE INCLUDED IN THE FY 2024-25 OPERATING BUDGET WHEREAS, IATU is the sponsor and the manager of this award issued to the City of Pomona under Agreement Number LIIIG-2023-08; and, WHEREAS, IATU desires to retain the City of Pomona to perform and manage services as described in the 2023 LIIG Request for Proposal Announcement to support the development or expansion of immigrant integration efforts, increase community trust, and enhance the organizational capacity of local governments to support immigrant populations in California; and, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. Authorize the execution of the MOA with the IATU.
SECTION 2. The term of the Contractual Agreement between the City of Pomona and IATU shall be from October 1, 2023 through November 30, 2025. Additional time is provided for the Grant Agreement Term, but not the performance period to amend or closeout agreements. As for the performance period, this Agreement’s term shall be from October 1, 2023, through September 30, 2025.
SECTION 3. Adoption of Resolution No. 2024-25 (Attachment No. 1) will amend the FY 2023-24 Operating Budgets by increasing revenue estimates and appropriating by $267,402. The remaining $290,338 will be budgeted in the FY 2024-25 Operating Budget.

SECTION 4. Authorize the City Manager to execute the contracts and other documentation requested for acceptance and implementation of the grant awards, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
