RESOLUTION NO. 2024-31
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE CITYWIDE SALARY SCHEDULE OF FISCAL YEAR 2023-24 TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE CALIFORNIA CODE OF REGULATIONS TITLE 2, SECTIONS 570.5 AND 571 TO REFLECT CLASSIFICATION CHANGES WITHIN VARIOUS CITY DEPARTMENTS WHEREAS, The City Council has the authority to create, classify, and design salary scales/ranges for all City of Pomona employee positions; WHEREAS, California Code of Regulations (CCR) Title 2, Sections 570.5 and 571 requires a consolidated Salary Schedule that is publicly available showing all City classifications and salary ranges; WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to maintain compliance with these regulations by amending the Citywide Salary Schedule for Fiscal Year 2023-24, which sets forth the salary scales/ranges for all City of Pomona employee classifications; WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend the Fiscal Year 2023-24 Citywide Salary Schedule, previously adopted by City Council Resolution Number 2023-100 and amended by Resolution Numbers 2023-171, 2023-186, 2023-222, 2023-229, and 2024-18; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to further amend the Citywide Salary Schedule to reflect organizational changes, correct administrative typographic errors, and amend the effective date of City Manager’s salary to January 28, 2024 as noted within “Exhibit A”.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby amends the Citywide Salary Schedule for Fiscal Year 2023-24, as set forth in the attached “Exhibit A”.
SECTION 2. The action approved herein shall become effective February 26, 2024.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and it shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
