RESOLUTION NO. 2024-32
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING AUTHORIZED STAFFING LEVELS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2023-24 OPERATING BUDGET RELATED TO POSITIONS IN THE ADMINISTRATION, COMMUNITY SERVICES, DEVELOPMENT SERVICES, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICES AND WATER RESOURCES DEPARTMENTS WHEREAS, on June 5, 2023, the City Council adopted the Fiscal Year 2023-24 Operating Budget, which includes authorized staffing levels citywide and funding for personnel; and WHEREAS, on October 16, 2023, the City Council adopted changes to the Fiscal Year 2023-24 Operating Budget, which included authorized staffing levels citywide for personnel; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend the Fiscal Year 2023-24 authorized staffing levels by adding eight (8) new positions, reclassifying one (1) position, and amending the City Operating Budgets for various City Departments to better reflect department operational needs, as provided herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona, California, as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby amends the City’s Fiscal Year 2023-24 authorized staffing levels and Department Operating Budgets as follows:
Estimated Annual cost includes benefits for respective positions Fiscal impact for FY 2023-24 if positions filled by April 7, 2024 Funding estimated at step, may be less depending on recruitment SECTION 2. Adoption of Resolution No. 2024-32 (Attachment No. 4) will amend the FY 2023-24 General Fund Operating Budget by increasing appropriations by $176,238. for the increase in staffing within the Administration Department (101-1301-51012-00000) and the Development Services Department (101-1701-51012-00000).
SECTION 3. The actions approved herein shall become effective February 26, 2024.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
