RESOLUTION NO. 2024-40
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA AMENDING THE FY 2023-24 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CIP) BUDGET BY APPROPRIATING $325,000 FROM WATER FUND RESERVES AND $325,000 FROM SEWER FUND RESERVES (TOTALING $650,000) TO THE “WATER RESOURCES BUILDING,” PROJECT NO. 575-8125-XXXXX-93135 WHEREAS, the City Council has prescribed the authority by Charter of the City of Pomona to adopt and amend the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) budgets; WHEREAS, the “Water Resources Building,” Project No. 575-8125-XXXXX-93135 is included in the adopted FY 2023-24 CIP budget; WHEREAS, the “Water Resources Building,” Project No. 575-8125-XXXXX-93135 requires additional funding to complete the construction of the building, grounds, security walls, and additional professional services support; WHEREAS, $325,000 of Water Fund Reserves and $325,000 of Sewer Fund Reserves are available to be appropriated to the “Water Resources Building,” Project No. 575-8125-XXXXX-93135; WHEREAS, the recommended funding appropriations are necessary to cover the construction costs for the Water Resources Building; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to appropriate a total of $650,000 of Water Fund and Sewer Fund Reserves to the “Water Resources Building,” Project No. 575-8125-XXXXX-93135.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby amends the FY 2023-24 CIP budget by appropriating $325,000 from Water Fund Reserves (571-8125-89951-93135, 575-8125-80702-93135, 575-8125-66196-93135, and appropriating $325,000 from Sewer Fund Reserves (581-8125-89951-93135, 575-8125-80725-93135, 575-8125-66196-93135) to the “Water Resources Building,” Project No. 575-8125-XXXXX-93135, leaving the project fully funded.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
