RESOLUTION NO. 2024-39
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE FY 2023-24 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CIP) BUDGET BY APPROPRIATING $43,799 FROM WATER FUND RESERVES, $43,798 FROM SEWER FUND RESERVES AND $70,061 FROM REFUSE FUND RESERVES (TOTALING $157,658) TO THE “CITY LOT REMEDIATION,” PROJECT NO. 418-2590-XXXXX-71021 WHEREAS, the City Council is prescribed the authority by Charter of the City of Pomona to adopt Capital Improvement Program (CIP) budgets; WHEREAS, the project “City Lot Remediation,” Project No. 418-2590-XXXXX-71021 is included in the adopted FY 2023-24 CIP budget; WHEREAS, the appropriation funding is necessary to cover the costs to continue with mandated site cleanup as per the Department of Toxic Substance Control (DTSC) approved Remedial Action Workplan (RAW); and WHEREAS, the additional funding is also needed for payment of oversight by DTSC as well as the additional City and legal staff efforts which will be required as a result.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby amends the FY 2023-24 CIP budget by appropriating $43,799 from Water Fund Reserves (571-2590-89922-71021, 418-2590-80702-71021, 418-2590-66196-71021), $43,798 from Sewer Fund Reserves (581-2590-89922-71021, 418-2590-80725-71021, 418-2590-66196-71021) and $70,061 from Refuse Fund Reserves (582-2590-89922-71021, 418-2590-80722-71021, 418-2590-66196-71021), (Totaling $157,658) to the “City Lot Remediation,” Project No. 418-2590-XXXXX-71021 leaving the project fully funded.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
