A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF AN ADDITIONAL $91,000 IN CONTINUUM OF CARE (COC) HOUSING HOMELESS, ASSISTANCE AND PREVENTION (HHAP) AND MEASURE H GRANT FUNDS FOR THE OPERATION OF THE BRIDGE HOUSING PROGRAM AT HOPE FOR HOME HOMELESS SERVICES CENTER (H4H), AMENDMENT OF THE FY 2023-24 OPERATING BUDGET TO INCREASE REVENUE ESTIMATES BY $91,851 AND APPROPRIATIONS BY $88,517 WHEREAS, the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) is authorized to enter into contracts to allocate funding for homeless programs and projects with the County of Los Angeles and, WHEREAS, in 2019, the City of Pomona responded to a Request for Proposal (RFP) released by LAHSA to operate a Bridge Housing Program, funding 64 beds at Hope for Home Homeless Services Center (H4H); and, WHEREAS, on October 25, 2019 LAHSA’s Board of Commissioners approved the funding award to the City of Pomona; and, WHEREAS, funding for a 50-bed program was made available by LAHSA through Los Angeles County CoC HHAP and Measure H Funds in the amount of $915,000 for the term of July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024; and, WHEREAS, LAHSA is requesting to amend the agreement to increase funds through Los Angeles County CoC HHAP and Measure H Funds amending the total award amount to $1,006,000 for the current term of July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024; and, WHEREAS, VOALA as H4H Site Operator, shall receive an increased allocation of $86,126 of the funds awarded by LAHSA to operate the Bridge Housing Program at H4H.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. Authorizes the acceptance of an additional $91,000 in County of Los Angeles CoC HHAP and Measure H Special Funds for the operation of the Bridge Housing Program at H4H.
SECTION 2. Amend FY 2023-24 Operating Budget by increasing revenue estimates by $91,851 and appropriations by $88,517 per chart below:

SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
