Notice of Public Hearing
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that said Public Hearing will be held at the meeting of the City Council on Monday, May 20, 2024, in the City Council Chambers, located at 505 South Garey Avenue, Pomona, California, commencing at 7:00 p.m. 2024 Adoption of the State Water Resources Control Board, Cross Connection Control Policy Handbook The Pomona City Council invites the community to attend a Public Hearing concerning the 2024 adoption of the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) Cross Connection Control Policy Handbook (CCCPH). The SWRCB adopted the CCCPH on December 19, 2023 and will take effect on July 1, 2024, replacing the existing cross-connection control and backflow prevention regulations found in Title 17. While possessing the same authority as a standard regulations, the CCCPH is designed to offer greater technical details and explanatory language. The CCCPH primary objective is to protect public health by establishing standards to prevent backflow in the Public Water System drinking water distribution system.
The CCCPH is available for public inspection at the City Clerk’s Office at 505 South Garey Avenue, Pomona, California 91766, during the hours of 7:30 A.M. TO 6:00 P.M., Monday through Thursday. Copies may be obtained by contacting the City Clerk’s Office at (909) 620-2341.
Any person desiring to make comments or present information to the City Council may make an oral presentation at the Public Hearing or may submit written comments for the City Council’s consideration by delivering them to the City Clerk’s Office prior to the time of the hearing.
