RESOLUTION NO. 2024-90
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE SUBMITAL OF APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS THROUGH THE BOARD OF STATE COMMUNITY CORRECTIONS PROPOSITION 47 GRANT WHEREAS, the City of Pomona intends to apply for the grant funding from The Board State of Community Corrections Proposition 47 Grant; and WHEREAS, the City of Pomona proposes to reduce recidivism of low-level drug and property crimes for people in the criminal justice system; and WHEREAS, the City of Pomona has the legal authority and is authorized to enter into a funding agreement with The Board State of Community Corrections; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. That the Applicant or designee is hereby authorized and directed to prepare and file an application for funding with The Board State of Community Corrections and take such other actions, as necessary or appropriate to obtain grant funding; and SECTION 2. The City of Pomona City Manager or designee is hereby authorized and directed to execute the funding agreement with The Board State of Community Corrections and any amendments thereto; and SECTION 3. The City of Pomona City Manager or designee is hereby authorized and directed to submit any required documents, invoices, and reports required to obtain grant funding.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
