A PROCLAMATION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, PROCLAIMING JUNE 2024 AS “GO SKATEBOARDING MONTH” IN THE CITY OF POMONA WHEREAS, skateboarding is a vibrant and inclusive activity that promotes creativity, physical fitness, and community engagement among people of all ages; and WHEREAS, Go Skateboarding Day, celebrated annually on June 21st, serves as a platform to recognize the culture and impact of skateboarding worldwide; and WHEREAS, skateboarding fosters a sense of camaraderie, resilience, and self-expression, while encouraging individuals to overcome challenges and pursue their passions; and WHEREAS, the City of Pomona recognizes the importance of providing safe and accessible spaces for skateboarders to practice their craft and build connections within our community; and WHEREAS, on Go Skateboarding Day, we celebrate the spirit of skateboarding and honor the contributions of skateboarders to our City's cultural fabric; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA does hereby proclaim June 2024 as “GO SKATEBOARDING MONTH”

A PROCLAMATION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, PROCLAIMING JULY 2024 AS “PARKS AND RECREATION MONTH” IN THE CITY OF POMONA WHEREAS, parks and recreational facilities are vital to the health and well-being of our community, providing opportunities for physical activity, social interaction, and connection with nature; and WHEREAS, the City of Pomona is committed to promoting inclusivity and ensuring that all residents, regardless of age, ability, background, or socioeconomic status, have equitable access to parks and recreational programs; and WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation Month, observed annually in July, serves as an occasion to celebrate the importance of parks and recreation in enhancing the quality of life for our diverse community; and WHEREAS, parks and recreational activities play a crucial role in fostering a sense of belonging and unity among diverse communities, promoting understanding, tolerance, and appreciation for differences; and WHEREAS, the City of Pomona recognizes the value of creating inclusive spaces and programming that accommodate the needs and interests of individuals of all abilities, ensuring that everyone can participate and thrive; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA does hereby proclaim July 2024 as “PARKS AND RECREATION MONTH”
