PREVIOUS RELATED ACTION:
On June 5, 2023, City Council adopted Resolution No. 2023-98 adopting the City’s FY 2023-24 Capital Improvement Program budget which included all CIP projects listed in Tables 1 and 2 above.
DISCUSSION:
The three CIP projects detailed in Table 1 are ready to be closed with the remaining funds returning to the original source or their respective fund balance. The “Recycled Water – Infrastructure Rehabilitation” project is no longer needed and is being closed. The “Water Main Replacements – Design” project was completed at a cost lower than originally estimated. The “Sewer Pipeline Condition Assessment” project was also completed under budget, and the remaining funding may be returned to the fund balance.
Additionally, Measure W funds are no longer needed in the “Multi-Benefit Stormwater Optimization and Infrastructure” project and can be released to fund the “Landscape Improvements – Various Locations” project. This project will provide for the design and construction of landscape improvements within small areas of various parks, City‐owned lots, and medians that include drought‐tolerant landscaping while providing benefits of the Safe Clean Water objectives and goals.
