RESOLUTION NO. 2024-106
RESOLUTION NO. 2024-106 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA ADOPTING A SPECIAL EVENTS POLICY AND PROCEDURES WHEREAS, the City recognizes the importance of special events in enhancing the quality of life for its residents; and WHEREAS, the City of Pomona seeks to establish a clear, fair, and efficient process for planning, permitting, and managing special events within the City; WHEREAS, the Special Event Policy and Procedures is intended to minimize liability, ensure public safety, streamline the process, and enhance the overall customer service experience.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council adopts the Special Event Policy and Procedures, attached hereto as Attachment 2, as the official policy for planning, permitting, and managing special events within the City of Pomona.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
