RESOLUTION NO. 2024-127
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2024-25 OPERATING BUDGET BY APPROPRIATING $500,000 FROM AVAILABLE PROPOSITION A FUND RESERVES FOR PARATRANSIT SERVICES WHEREAS, the Pomona Valley Transportation Authority (PVTA) operates as the City of Pomona’s local transit provider for paratransit activities and in nearby cities including San Dimas, La Verne, and Claremont; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the Pomona City Charter, amendments to the Adopted FY 2024-25 Operating Budget require approval by City Council by Resolution; and WHEREAS, as allowed by the City’s Charter, the recommended actions will authorize the appropriation of $500,000 from available Proposition A fund reserves to fully fund Pomona’s share of paratransit services provided by PVTA for FY 2024-25.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council amends the Fiscal Year 2024-25 Operating Budget by appropriating $500,000 of available Proposition A fund balance to account 216-2506-52933-00000.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall attest and certify the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
