RESOLUTION NO. 2024-100
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE FY 2024-25 OPERATIONAL BUDGET BY INCREASING REVENUE ESTIMATES BY $398,598 WHEREAS, the Pomona Police Department and Pomona Unified School District (PUSD) have an extensive history of working on partnerships projects that benefit youths and the community; WHEREAS, part of these partnerships projects include school truancy, parenting skills and after-school youth programs at elementary, middle and high school campuses; WHEREAS, the Pomona Police Department will assign two (2) Police Office positions to fulfill the contractual agreement; WHEREAS, the Pomona Police Department and PUSD have developed an Agreement that will fund (2) Police Officer positions to fund the PRO program from November 1, 2023 through June 30, 2025 of which PUSD will pay for (2) Police Officer positions, for a total reimbursement amount of $398,598.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby agrees to assign two (2) Police Officer Positions to perform PRO duties.
SECTION 2. That the City Council hereby amends the FY 2024-25 operational budget by increasing revenue estimates by $398,598.
SECTION 3. That City Clerk shall attest to and certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and it shall be effective immediately upon its approval.
